The frame is made from gold-painted wood, with a glass front. In the top, left-hand corner, it says, "Printed in England." The top, right-hand corner says, "Published in U.S.A. This is a rare piece, as the copyrights to this and other of Taylor's paintings were sold to Pallas G Printers. Princess Mafalda was painted by Leonard Campbell Taylor, who was commissioned specifically to do her portrait. She was born in 1902, and died in 1944, during a bombing in World War II. This piece portrays Princess Mafalda of Savoy. In the frame, this piece measures approximately 22" tall x 18" wide.
